ICESat / CHIPSat

ICESat is the benchmark Earth Observing System mission for measuring ice sheet mass balance, cloud and aerosol heights, as well as land topography and vegetation characteristics. CHIPSat is a University-Class Explorer (UNEX) mission funded by NASA.

Hispasat-1D, along with Hispasat-1C (launched 2000) offers pan-European and pan-American multi-area coverage. This coverage can extend to certain areas of North Africa. XM-1 will join another XM satellite in orbit and the two satellites will blanket the entire lower 48 states, working in tandem to relay XM Satellite Radio's programming to special receiving radios installed in subscribers' cars and trucks and portable units that you can take anywhere.

Mars Odyssey (PAM)

NASA's robotic spacecraft will use spectrometers and electronic imagers to detect evidence of past or present water and volcanic activity on Mars. It is hoped that the data Odyssey obtains will help answer the question of whether life has ever existed on Mars.
